Range Information

Range Location: Dairyville, Coffs Harbour

Follow the Coramba Road from Coffs Harbour to Karangi, turn left at the Karangi General Store onto Upper Orara Rd, follow for 6km then turn right at the Dairyville Hall onto Dairyville Road, follow for 3.6km then turn right onto Dry Creek Road (gravel road), follow the signs for 1.1km to the range complex. The SSAA range is the second group of buildings on the left.

Dairyville Range Fees

• SSAA Member: $10 for the day. Junior $5
• P650 ‘Try Shooting Program”: Adult $15, Junior $10
• Licensed shooter but not a SSAA member: $25
• Club .22 ammo is available for purchase at $7.50 per box of 50 (CCI Standard), CASH ONLY. Ammo is for use at the range only, no take-aways. There is no charge for use of the Club .22 rifles.
• There is EFTPOS available at the Dairyville range for payment of range fees, or pay cash (exact change appreciated).

Range Location: Macksville, Scotts Head Rd

Follow the freeway south towards Kempsey. Take the turnoff to Scotts Head just after the river at Macksville. Follow Scotts Head Rd for about 9.5km, then turn RIGHT onto Rifle Range Rd which is just past Landy Way. The turnoff is NOT well sign posted, just a metal farm gate with a SSAA sign. Follow the gravel road and the signs to the range. Note: phone reception at the range is very poor, and there is no external power.

Macksville Range Fees

• SSAA Member: $15 adult, $10 junior
• P650 ‘Try Shooting Program”: Adult $15, Junior $10
• Licensed shooter but not a SSAA member: $20 adult, $10 junior
• Club .22 ammo is available for purchase at $7.50 per box/50, CASH ONLY. Ammo is for use at the range only, no take-aways. There is no charge for use of the Club .22 rifles.
• Targets are $0.50 each
• PLEASE bring the exact change (cash), there is no EFTPOS at the Macksville range and no facilities for electronic bank account transfers. No pay, no shoot.
