Safe Shooting Course. The Bellingen Rifle Club conducts a Safe Shooting Course every 1-2 months on our programmed Sunday range days, starting at 2pm. This course is a prerequisite for obtaining a Firearms License or a Junior’s Permit (age 12-17). To book a spot on a Safe Shooting Course, use the “contact” form on the homepage. The cost of the Safe Shooting course is $80.00 ($40 for juniors), together with your range fees and ammunition. You will be able to use a Club-owned .22 rifle for the practical component of the course. For information on the course, see the link below.
Other courses. The Club also conducts a number of courses on an “on demand” basis, including:
- R-license and G-license for hunting in approved NSW state forests
- DPI courses, including Making A Successful Shot and Safe Butchering of your Game Meat
Membership of the Bellingen Branch of the SSAA can be used as a genuine reason for target shooting, hunting, and collecting licenses.
